Before joining Baskin, Caroline began practicing law in 2018, as an associate at Sacks, Ricketts & Case in its Phoenix, Arizona, office. There she defended clients in commercial and consumer class action litigation, including claims for false advertising, unfair competition, and breach of contract, as well as in a variety of labor and employment disputes. Caroline also spent considerable time counseling national and multinational companies on data privacy compliance and helping them navigate the complex patchwork of state-level laws. Caroline graduated from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in May 2018. While in law school, Caroline explored her life-long interest in emerging sciences and technologies by enrolling in several law, science, and technology-related courses and serving as an Associate Editor and Chair of the Social Committee for Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. As a result of her interdisciplinary course load, Caroline graduated with two specialized Certificates in Law, Science, and Technology, one in Health Law and the other in Genetics & Biotechnology. In addition, Caroline’s comment, which advocated for the FDA to adopt a dynamic risk-based approach to its regulation of wearable devices, was selected for publication in Jurimetrics’s Fall 2017 issue.
